Cyril Ramaphosa Urged To Dump Zuma - Open Letter

This open letter, published by Times Live (Sunday Time's online news feed) urging ANC deputy president,Cyril Ramaphosa to step down. His involvement in the Marikana Massacre and the controversy surrounding the purchase of a buffalo cow and its calf, valued at R 19,5 million are mentioned. It was written by Pan Africanist Congress of Azania deputy president, Michael Muendane

"Dear Compatriot,
On April 19, religious leaders, including the Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba and Archbishop Emeritus Bishop Desmond Tutu, marched to parliament to call for the protection of Chapter 9 institutions, and an end to corruption and maladministration in government. They called on Zuma to speak openly about the R246-million spent on upgrades at Nkandla.
The head of the ZCC, Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane, has since joined them, reminding his flock that: "If you think high of yourself, you will elect a high-level, smart and intelligent leadership."
I am writing in the context of my work within communities and on radio, under the banner Soultalk, which has the objective of liberating the minds of the African people from the mental poison that apartheid and colonialism injected to reduce their self-esteem.
There is no doubt that your history of activism, Comrade Cyril, in trade unions and the broader liberation movement, is impressive. I did not always agree with you, but I admired your sincerity.
I don't know what prompted a person with your struggle credentials to bid R19.5-million for a buffalo cow and its calf. This insensitive flamboyance spits at the ANC's repeated admission that our people continue to be haunted by poverty, unemployment and inequality. Your apology enhanced my respect for you.
No sooner had that taken place than you were implicated in the Marikana massacre saga. The jury is still out on your role there, yet I retain my notion that you are basically a man of integrity.
Men and women of vision are those who can read current configurations - in other words, things as they stand in relation to one another today - and visualise them playing out into the future. You have the capacity to be one such person. Nebuchadnezzar was the opposite.
I find myself wondering how you justify continuing to deputise to a man such as Zuma, whose apparent indiscretions include being associated with dubious characters like Schabir Shaik and impregnating the daughter of a friend. Then there is Guptagate and the insults made to Malawi (and Africa in general).
It is commendable that you condemned the insults and demeaning comments directed at the public protector's office. You need to send a stronger message.
Comrade Cyril, I call on you to resign as deputy to this man. History will attribute your inaction to a selfish desire to gain the favour of a virtually discredited man and his self-serving accomplices to win support in your bid for the ANC leadership in 2019.
Is this the legacy you would like to leave?
Your brother in patriotism and good governance. - Ngila Michael Muendane, deputy president, Pan Africanist Congress of Azania"

Throwback: Cream of the Crop Volume 2

I will be hitting you all with throwbacks, as our time is drawing to an end. My friends and I are known as BehindART. We are a team of five youngsters with range of skills such as editing, rapping/singing, photography and writing.

We were tasked with taking pictures at YFF's annual event, Cream of the Crop held at Matlapeng Lodge in the Vaal. The event included a fashion show and numerous performances from local talents. The party went on through the night and into the early morning, People really came in their numbers and enjoyed themselves. Check out some of the pictures below.

Happy 20th Birthday Rainbow Nation!

For the longest time ever, I’ve always had a yearning in my heart to turn back the hands of time. I wanted to find myself in the height of apartheid, so I can feel what my people felt. Moreover, I wanted to be an activist and lend a helping hand in the liberation of the people of South Africa but I often wonder, “Would I have been able to withstand detention? Torture? Jail? Exile? Being an MK vet’? Leaving my family for years & not knowing whether I will see them again?”

I love this nation, its history and the potential it has for future generations, but it saddens me that many of the youth won’t take up the time to just relive the hardships of the former regime through literature. Since I was about 10, I’ve always tried to get in as much about our past as possible. I believe it has made me stronger and braver. It enabled me not to take this  freedom lightly, blood flowed in order for us to get this far. People are scarred for life now, because they wanted a better life for future generations.

We will forever be thankful to the ANC, PAC, Black Consciousness Movement, student organizations, several armed wings of the political parties, mothers who hid their children from the security branch and all the Struggle Heroes. Their commitment to bring down the racist regime has given us a beautiful new world in which we get to express ourselves fully.

To all all those heroes & all citizens of this wonderful land, I say, Happy Freedom Day! AMANDLA!

Throwback: RHTC Harlem Shake

Now this a definite throwback, as this was shot over a year ago. The concept of this video was to take part in the-then phenomenon, the Harlem Shake. Basically, people had to dance to a song in any crazy, outworldly way possible! The aim was to have fun and enjoy the moment. The participants also have to wear outrageous outfits to accommodate the dancing.

I was chosen to lead the video, which was a bit daunting as I am not used to being in front of the camera. I wore a peachy pink dress and orange doek to create my crazy character. I nonetheless enjoyed my '15 seconds of fame'. I hope you will all enjoy the crazy antics of the video. Be sure to check out http://rhtconline.com for all things hip and cool!

RHTC Coke Commercial Spin

Returning Home To Create (RHTC) is an online store which specializes in merchandise. Owned and run by Mpumelelo "Frypan" Mfula, this innovative brand houses local labels such as Kreative Beings; Babatunde and Retrofontein to name a few.

Frypan (as he is affectionately known) thought of a smart way to make his brand more unique and grab the public's attention. He then recreated Coca-Cola's recent Share With Campaign. Using the commercial as a story board, he recreated it on a youthful level. He called us (my friends and I) to be part of this historic moment. Watch the video above and be amazed at this brilliant strategy!

Thuli Madonsela Make Time's 100 Most-Influential People List

(by Elizabeth Sejake/City Press)

Good news my fellow South Africans, because our Public Protector is flying our flag on high!! Madonsela has been been included in Time magazine's list of 100 most-influential people. She is being lauded for work in fighting maladministration.

Her spokesperson, Kgalalelo Masibi was quoted saying Madonsela was humbled by the mention. Furthermore she said that the nomination not only extended to her, but was an inspiration for the whole Public Protector team. Madonsela and all the other people named on the list are invited to attend the Time gala on 29 April 2014 in New York, where the list will get its official announcement.

Gayton McKenzie's Open Letter Addressed to Julius Malema

Ex-prison inmate and current Patriotic Alliance president, Gayton McKenzie has written an open letter to EFF (Economic Freedom Fighter)'s Commander-In-Chief Julius Malema. In the letter he addresses corruption, betrayal and misuse of public funds. I will publish the letter below

(Warning: the views expressed are of the letter's author, & not my own. I will not be held liable for it.)

"Open letter to Julius Malema.

Dear Julius Malema,

I wronged people in this country two decades ago when I took part in heinous crimes. I have been trying to repay my debt to society for most of the years since. First, by successfully exposing corruption in jail then by speaking to millions of school kids across this country to dissuade them from a life of crime. I am now dedicating my life to Patriotic Alliance, which puts ending gangsterism, but more importantly the conditions that lead to gangsterism in communities, at the top of its agenda. We must get our young people into the mainstream economy.

I see this open letter as part of repaying my many debts to society. If I did not speak up to warn the people of South Africa, but especially our youth, against you, it would mean I have no love for this country.

Julius, you and I are not "revolutionaries". We both know that. We both shop at the same Louis Vuitton and Gucci shops. We both have watches worth hundreds of thousands. We wear more money on our wrists than a miner at Marikana will ever hold in his hands. This week you had the audacity to say that you wear Louis Vuitton to "inspire the poor". But the poor get nothing out of you wearing flashy clothes.

For people like us to call ourselves revolutionaries is an insult to history's real revolutionaries. Patrice Lumumba is rolling in his grave. Thomas Sankara wants to get out of his grave and take back his words that have found their way onto your whisky-swilling tongue. If simply wearing a beret makes you a revolutionary then my mum and all her friends have been revolutionaries for far longer than you.

You have spent more money at any of your own lavish parties than Kenny Kunene ever did. But Kenny never spent public money. It was his own money that he worked for openly. He never earned his money through misdirected tenders to shady companies that were hard to track. You bankrupted the ANC Youth League. You bankrupted Limpopo. You bankrupted yourself. Now you want to bankrupt what's left of South Africa.

The difference between you and me is that you use politics to take money from the poor. I give money to politics. I am not seeking a position through politics. My name is not even on any list. But you are trying to get to Parliament at all costs. Unlike what you may read about me, I never received any government money. I never received any tenders. I was never a beneficiary in any BEE deal. But you have never worked an honest day in your life to earn your own money. You don't know what that feels like. You don't know what it means.

When the doors of government's treasury were slammed in your face you went immediately to the poor with your cap in hand, promising them the world, when you needed their money to pay for your tax problems. You are like a man who steals a cellphone and then goes back to his victim to ask for airtime. You exploit our people's genuine hunger for a better life.

You want to nationalise the mines, but that will take huge amounts of public money to sustain, with no guarantees of profit. You will have to take money that we need right now to build houses and schools for poor people and you will have to gamble with that money to build mines. Nationalisation is not woodwork.

Will you be the one to look our old women in the eyes and say that they can't have their houses today because you want to invest in mines that will perhaps give us profits in ten years' time? Our minerals will not crawl out of the earth by themselves. And we know that any profits will first have to survive going through your sticky hands before they reach the rest of us.

Jacob Zuma's Nkandla upgrade was wrong on all fronts. But you also took taxpayers' money to demolish a R3 million house in order to build a R16 million house in Sandton. Your own EFF commissar Andile Mngxitama criticised you for this very thing three years ago. Does he think you are no longer that man? None of us should be that naive.

You have insulted so many of our people. You insulted MaMbeki. You insulted Baba Buthelezi. You insulted Naledi Pandor. You had to apologise to all of them. Now you have insulted MaKhumalo, Jacob Zuma's first wife. She is a grandmother and you thought it funny to sexualise her and ask us to imagine her in a bathing suit. Is the only old woman who you respect your own grandmother in Seshego? You speak to no one with respect. Anyone who disagrees with you must know that a choice insult is already on its way from you. When the Public Protector went for you, you had nothing good to say about her. When the same Public Protector went for Jacob Zuma and Pansy Tlakula, you hailed her work. How stupid do you think we are?

Most of your erstwhile comrades in the ANC remain too scared to say anything against you, because they know that they stole with you, right alongside you. You know all their secrets.

You get two kinds of politicians in this country: the ones who come from prison and those who must still go to prison. You belong to the latter. I may be an ex-thief, but you are a present-day thief. You, particularly you, cannot be calling all white people in this country thieves.

I have a serious problem with you telling our young people that they must take the mines and take the land. All you can think of in your choice of language is "Take, take and destroy." You are inculcating an attitude of taking instead of contributing and working. Our youth do not need that. No one needs that. Our youth need to be empowered educationally and financially to grow this country.

You are the modern-day Nongqawuse. There was no one there in 1856 to warn our people against that false prophet. Somebody needs to have the courage to warn us against you. I'm not scared of you. But I am scared of what will happen to this country if our young people don't realise what you are before it is too late.

For most of my younger years I was surrounded by conmen and thieves. But you are the biggest thief I ever met. You, truly, are the Con-mander in Thief.

I wish Kenny would take South Africa into his confidence over the real reasons why he left EFF.

Yours truly

Gayton McKenzie, Patriotic Alliance President"

Hip-Hop Wealthiest Artists' Portfolio in Lyrical Content

About two days ago, Forbes embarked on their most ambitous list yet; weighing the portfolio of five of hip-hop's wealthiest rappers in terms of what they rap about the most. With n surprises, they choose YMCMB's Birdman, legendary Brooklyn-born Jay Z; Harlem's finest and Bad Boy CEO Puff Daddy; LA legend Dr Dre & New York's very own 50 cent.

Forbes used lyrics of Birdman’s Priceless, Jay Z’s Magna Carta… Holy Grail, 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct, Dr. Dre’s 2001 and Diddy’s Last Train to Paris, and created charts to ilustrate the figures. They then added together any mention of an asset; their synonyms and mere mention of publicly-listed companies. Look at the pictures below (courtesy of highsnobiety.com):

The Simpson's to Air an Entire Episode Using LEGOs

(courtesy of EW)

The Simpsons have been a part of American pop-culture for over 25 years. No other cartoon sitcom has run this long, and it's all thanks to the world  events! This sitcom has been kept fresh and innovative over the years, and now thanks to LEGO, that innovation will ensure it continues.

Although the two have collaborated before; through the Springfield house and minifigure set, this time an entire episode will be aired using the latter set. Fox will broadcast it, being the 550th episode. The title "Brick Like Me". The episode has been in development for two years, giving the show a new lease in its ilustrious 25-year car.

It will air in America on 4 May, we will have to wait a little longer til it is syndicated for South Africa. Or altnernatively, you can scour the 'Net for the episode.

Yeezy's Indelible Influence on Sneaker Culture

(Yeezy 2's)

It is no hidden secret that Kanye West’s iconic sneaker line, the ‘Yeezy’ changed the game. No other shoe since the release of the Air Max 1 or Jordan brand touched the masses like they did. So much so that most Nike sneakers have been given the ‘Yeezy 2 colorway treatment’, with the most popular being the ‘Solar Red’ colorway.
I have seen quite a few Nike sneakers in this colorway, such as the Air Max 1 FB ‘Yeezy’, the Roshe Run FBJordan SC3Jordan Spiz’ike iD, and the Nike LeBron X iD. To some extent you could say the colorway is being overused, but given the limited run of the Yeezy 2 all over the world, most adoring fans will try to get ANY sneaker in Yeezy 2 colorway guise.
Nike recently introduced two new sneakers to the Solar Red phenomenon; namely the Foamposite Pro’s and Air Force 1 Low CMFT. The Pro’s feature a largely black build with red lining, and a glow-in-the-dark sole. The Air Force 1’s get a similar treatment except for an ordinary green sole.
Another surprising ‘participant’ is the New Balance 580 “NBeezy” customized by Alexander-John.  Paying attention to detail, the sneaker incorporates a snake scale pattern on the heel, glow-in-the-dark green midsole, and gold lace tips.
Since his much publicized move to adidas, we have yet to see a sample of his new work. Recently a picture surfaced online that was touted as the first pair in the collaborative venture, but the rumour was quickly quelled. It seems we will have to wait until 2015, but in the meantime expect more amazing and rare custom Yeezy 2-inspired sneakers!

2015 Dodge Challenger

The 1971 original Challenger (in olive green) stands alongside
its 2015 contemporaries

The iconic Challenger is set to return to its original roots. Having been released in 1971, the Challenger gained classic cult status alongside its stablemate the Dodge Charger. Personally, I am a fan of the original Charger, especially the second generation built between 1968-1970. The 1969 model is perhaps well-known as 'The General Lee' from the American classic TV series, The Dukes of Hazzard.

Getting back to the Challenger, the sports coupe has included many hallmarks of the '71 model includingsplit-grille and split-tail lamp cues, updated to 2015 with four signature LED headlamp halo surrounds offset by piano black trim. The 2015 Challenger will be available in eight various variants namely: SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker, R/T Plus Shaker, 6.4-liter Scat Pack and 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker. You can expect the entry-level models (SXT & SXT Plus) to come with a 3.6 liter six-cylinder engine pushing 224 Killowatts. The mid-range models (R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Shaker and R/T Plus Shaker) will be equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine pushing 275 Killowatts.

The top of the range models come equipped with the 6.4-liter HEMI Scat Pack and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker pushing 356 Killowatts of power and a healthy dose of torque. These two models are expected to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in impressive mid 4-second range thanks to a new eight-speed transmission. Unfortunately, we won't be getting anyone since there is no market in our country; however expect it in the fall (in the USA).

Blood Orange - Chamakay (Music Video)

Album Review: Blood Orange - Cupid Deluxe

This has to be the best albums to come out of 2013. Devonte Hynes (or Blood Orange or Lightspeed Champion) is an incredible artists. This album well-balanced and attends to all sexual orientations, something most mainstream artists struggle with. I always thought he was gay, til I saw a picture of him and his girlfriend, Samantha Urbani. He appeals to all genders as well.

The album kicks off with 'Chamakay', a mid-tempo feel good song, which was released as the album's first single. He features his girlfriend Samantha. She also appears on  "You're Not Good Enough", "No Right Thing", "It Is What It Is", "Chosen", "Always Let U Down", "On The Line", "Time Will Tell" on the album. This is second album, with his first being Coastal Grooves.

The shift from his debut album is evident. I've heard tracks from the first one, and they were bass-driven, and had an Western cowboy feel.

My favorite single from Cupid Deluxe has to be 'It Is What It Is'. It opens off with a soothing xylophone meddley. The switch between him and Urbani gives the song a reassuring feeling that duets are here to stay. Dev is known for producing Solange's EP, True.

Tracklist:

1. Chamakay
2. You’re Not Good Enough
3. Uncle ACE
4. No Right Thing
5. It Is What It Is
6. Chosen
7. Clipped On
8. Always Let U Down
9. On the Line
10. High Street
11. Time Will Tell

'Juju is a joke, not a leader' - Justice Malala

(Justice Malala)

Justice Malala has delivered a brilliant piece on Julius Malema, the EFF Commander-In-Chief. In the article, he lists how has suffered from foot-in-mouth disease. He also questions how can a leader run his mouth without concern and later turn around and changes his tune.

Recently, Malema went to former President Thabo Mbeki's mother, Epainette Mbeki's home in the Eastern Cape. "I am very happy that I got the opportunity to say to my grandmother here that, whatever I could have said about her son, President Mbeki at the time . if I offended her and her family, I apologise and I am very sorry," he said. That's just one of his many apologies. Please head here to get more insight on Malala's article.

Favorite Artist: Mark Rothko

Mark Rothko (born Marcus Rothkowitz) (September 25, 1903 – February 25, 1970) was a Russian-born painter. He attended Yale University in the 1920s but dropped  He is regarded as one of the greatest abstract expressionists of all time. What I love about his artwork, is the fact that most famous artist had figures, humans as subjects, however he was more of a colorist.

(Mark Rothko, Untitled,1949, National Gallery of Art)

In his earlier works, he utilized bright colours, throughout most of his paintings. He began to darken his work, incorporating colours such as maroon, brown, and black. Sadly, at the age of 66 he took his life. His recent health problems and his separation from his wife might have accelerated his death.

What pains me, is the fact that he cut his life short. I usually have a problem when someone talented does that. It leaves you wondering what else they might have achieved, but we weren't there when their lives took nosedives. I just pray if I get the chance to be famous, that I surround myself with good people.

16 Children And Their Bedrooms From Across The World

It is amazing how people have different perceptions on how children should be treated and brought up. Many believe that a safe environment, solid education, a loving education and fun in the sun is enough for children. However, we live in a world where reality hits most the hardest. We may have escaped the clutches of racial segregation but most citizens are living in abject poverty.

James Mollison, a photographer recently created a project called 'Where Children Sleep'. It is a collection of 16 photographs from around the world depicting the conditions of the children's bedrooms. He touched upon countries such as Japan, Nepal, Brazil, Ivory Coast, and many more. Kanye West x adidas Sneaker Collab Delayed Until September 2015

Sad news my dear Kanye fans. It appears that we won't be seeing any work from the collaboration anytime soon. While it seems that a lot of work is going on behind the scenes, the public are expected to see the first pair out in 2015. While West will debut the collection during June, it will only be viewed internally. This means that adidas will get the first taste of the range.

Kanye has also postponed his Australian tour in support of his Yeezus album to work on his new album scheduled to be released this year. I also feel like that's one of the reasons the collection will only be released next year.

Patta Spring/Summer 2014 Lookbook

I know you are looking at this article and thinking, "Summerwear while we're approaching winter?" but don't get me wrong, I saw a few pieces here that can easily transcend the seasons. The styles are pretty streetwear-chic and will appeal to those with a different dress sense.

Patta, an Amstedam-based clothing outfit has featured classic clothing such as sweaters, denim jackets and t-collar t-shirts. Since the summer season experienced in Europe and South Africa is entirely different, some pieces would be heavy for us. Patta is renowned for stocking all the latest clothing brands from Adidas, Nike to Supreme. They are particularly famous for their collaborations with Nike footwear.

The lookbook was handled by Menno Kok, assisted by Sebastiaan Pagano Mirani and styling honours went to Bonne Reijn.

18 Modern Relationship Ills All Lovers Have To Put Up With

(Celeste and Jesse Forever)

Let's all face it. Modern relationships aren't the same as those depicted in rom-coms or romance films. Couples are growing more and more disconnected, because 'Social Media'. It has given the rise to privacy around electronic devices. There's this quote that's frequented on Twitter and Facebook that goes like, "We are free with our hearts but private with our phones." Okay, that might not be the one but you do catch my line of thought?

Another thing that makes today's relationships insincere, is the fact that no one wants to put in effort. If you try too much, it is frowned upon, if you give too little, that's acceptable. Couples don't call one another frequently and more communication is text-based (check Oscar & Reeva's court scripts). It is really rare to see a young couple yearning back towards the ways of old.

Thought Catalog's Christopher Hudspeth compiled 18 ugly truths about modern dating that you have to deal with. I suggest you look into these truths and try to change your relationships for the better.

Mother Teaches Young Daughter How To Say, "NO!"

I recently saw this cute GIF set on Tumblr. In this, a young mother was teaching her toddler on how to say no to strange men. Being the toddler that she is, baby Ye Bin answers enthusiastically to every question, to which her mom corrects her. She said yes to all three inticing offers, such as being offered cookies, being asked to take a swim and being offered some ice-cream. You could almost forgive because she is so cute, but her mothers stands strong and makes sure Ye Bin gets the full message. I have included the original clip down below. Enjoy the cuteness!

Kanye West's Words In 2013

Randy Holmes/ABC via Getty Images

Now, we all know how vocal Kanye West can be. Who can forget that 'magical' moment at the MTV awards when an intoxicated West grabbed the mic from the award recipient, Taylor Swift's hands and famously proclaimed, "I'm real happy for you but Ima let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best music videos of all time!". That caused a slew of memes which used that tag-line. During the presidential elections, West let the cat (or is it Bush?) out the bag and said, "Bush doesn't care about black people" on live national television.

He has certainly a lot of controversial moments but it is undeniable that he has changed, and 2013 marked a different kind of Kanye. From dropping Yeezus, his sixth studio album, to changing allegiance (partnering with Adidas after dropping Nike), getting engaged to Kim Kardashian and becoming a father for the first time, certainly it was a year to remember. We also saw his creative side, through his company DONDA.

Rolling Stones magazine has compiled fifteen of his best quotes of the year (2013). From addressing corporate control, classism (which he describes as racism's cousin), genres, and infamous leather jogging pants, you're bound to be amazed by one of today's important pop culture icons. Read them here.

20 Years: Remembering Kurt Cobain

 Michel Linssen/Redfer

When the world found out about the shocking suicide death of Kurt Cobain, it sent ripples through the music industry. In an instant, his wife Courtney Love became a widow and left the couple's nearly two-year-old daughter fatherless.

Kurt found success with Nirvana, which compromised of drummer Dave Ghrol (founder of The Foo Fighters.) and Krist Novoselic in the late 1980s. Thanks to the birth of music channel MTV, the bands music videos helped popularize the channel due to heavy air rotation and brought the band major success. Cobain's death not only halted his star rising, but brought an end to Nirvana. This year, Nirvana will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

The way I see it, he struggled to come to grips with this sudden interest in his life. His heroin addiction also aggravated the situation, and his love life was thrown into the mix when he married Courtney Love.

Rolling Stone magazine contacted a couple of musicians in Cobain's memory. His widow, Courtney, former bandmates Novoselic and Ghrol, Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino, rock 'n' roll legend Iggy Pop and Weezers' frontman Rivers Cuomo and various others gave an account on how Cobain impacted their personal lives, careers and music as a whole. One thing is undeniable though that Nirvana changed the social scene and out the grunge scene on the map. Head here to read about those heart-warming comments, head here.

Ads Libitum by David Redon

Acclaimed French artist, David Redon has paired popular musicians with vintage-style American poster. Not only did that, he went as far as using some their music in the posters as well. Expect an array of wonderful and gloriously-created posters.

The posters feature the likes of Kanye West, the late Nate Dogg, Beyonce, Daft Punk and Pharrel Williams just to name a few. Fans of the said artists will appreciate the way the lyrics and themes mash together. Expect to be immensely  impressed. Wedding Gifts Fit For KimYe

Most of us do know of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's forthcoming wedding. If you don't know, then I suggest that you consult our dear friend Google! Moving right along, Women's Wear Daily (commonly known as WWD), recently asked a slew of celebrities about what they would get the new couple. Celebrities such as Alber Elbaz, Emily Weiss, Jonathan Adler and twelve others gave some pretty interesting gifts and responses, click here to read more on the gifts!

Best April Fool's Joke - Cheeteau by Cheetos

This has to be one of the best April Fool's joke of the year. I saw quite a few, including ABSA"s bold red and gold Springbok jersey had us all fooled but 'Cheeteau' takes the cheese! Puns aside, the commercial will have you fooled that it is just a jestering stunt!

We all know Chester right? And no, I am not referring to the famous Yizo Yizo character. I am talking about Chester the Cheetah, Cheetos' mascot. Does it ring a bell? Er well, let me tell you a little bit about him. He is a smooth-taking, cool cheetah. Wears black framed wayfarers and sports a mean white goatee. This particular commercial takes a swipe at Calvin Klein' Obsession fragrance. There was even a Twitter giveaway, where one hundred lucky Tweeters were to win a bottle of the cheesy scent.
