Oscars broadcast stopped in Russia after Jared Leto mentions Ukraine (3 March 2014)

The country’s biggest television station had earlier stated it would offer live coverage of the Oscar awards, instead after Leto’s comments it was pulled off air. The state-run TV channel then offered to play a recorded version at 4 am (on Monday, 3 March Moscow time). More on this story here.
